For Those Last Minute Planners This Fourth of July

How to Make a Corn Hole Game From Pallets

It's officially less than a week until the Fourth of July! You know what that means! Parties, food, fireworks, games, and more! In case you are feeling stuck this holiday, I went ahead and found this article through HGTV to help give you some ideas on how to throw the perfect holiday party! Let's start making those memories, shall we?!
The first thing you are going to want to take into consideration is food. After all, it's not a party unless there is food! Things like burgers and hot dogs will need to be made during the party for freshness, but that doesn't mean that you can't have all the sides prepared! Some of my family's go to sides are  deviled eggs, chips and dip, fruit platters, vegetable platters, cookies and brownies. Why not add some food die to the deviled eggs to make them red, white, and blue? Add some frosting or sprinkles to the cookies and make them red, white, and blue as well! You'll also need to have drinks ready. Try some fruit punch or other juices, lemonade, and soda in some red, white, and blue cups or even put together some delicious cocktails in these colors! There are plenty of ideas on Pinterest!
When it comes to the decor and entertainment, you can never go wrong with red, white, and blue flowers! Consider adding decorative table cloths, signs, games, and more in these colors! Speaking of games, get two cornhole boards and paint one red, and one blue. Then have the beanbags white and half with red stars and half with blue stars and let the games begin! For more entertainment purposes, consider hosting a screening of the "Independence Day" movies or "Born On The Fourth Of July" or "Yankee Doodle Dandy"! If the weather is nice, set up a slip n slide, have a water balloon fight, or a water gun fight! If you have kids or dogs at the party, they are sure to love this!! If you have pets, get them dressed up for the occasion with yourself! A little bandana would look great on your furry family member!
Those are just a few of many suggestions you could do! Have a safe and fun holiday and feel free to share your photos of what you decided to do with us!

Light Up Your Kitchen

You can have the most beautiful kitchen in the world, but if it's poorly lit, you'd never know - what a shame! Avoid this common problem by installing appropriate lighting in your kitchen and dining area. There are two questions to ask yourself when you're adding lighting in to your kitchen: what kind of lighting will I choose, and where will I decide the lighting should be? Things are looking up!

When it comes to different types of ceilings, there is a lot to choose from. If you're like most people, you think of the standard drop ceiling that we're used to seeing in many homes is the only option. That kind of thinking couldn't be further from the truth! If you're considering switching things up with your new home, check out this post to brainstorm some ideas for a new ceiling. Seeing the beams of the house in plain sight can create a rustic feel or simply add symmetry to the room's ambiance. Either way, they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
