View One of Our Testimonials

“Thanks for all you’ve done to help us build our Duplex in Cortland. We’ve enjoyed the entire process, beginning with our first meeting with Eric Barden and Steve Hollister. We were pleasantly surprised to learn you could work with our drawings. Once the deliveries began arriving on our site, we were impressed with the quality of the lumber. The panelized system turned out to be great for us because we did the labor ourselves. We were able to set the floor deck in one weekend, then set all of the wall panels the following weekend. The way the wall panels were placed around the floor deck maximized our efficiency. The deliveries were all on time and the drivers courteous. Overall, the process you took us through was professional, and you did everything you said you would. Steve was always available to answer our questions. We appreciate that you cared enough to visit our project, even long after the Hamilton material package was delivered. We look forward to recommending Hamilton...

Tuesday's Testimonial

“My husband and I enjoyed working with everyone at Hamilton Building Services. We gave them the floor plan for the home we wanted and they made improvements that worked for us. Some of the sub-contractors they used were also great to work with. Hamilton Building made our home-building experience memorable and we are very pleased with the result. We recommend their company to anyone interested in building. If we were ever to build again we would use their services. Thank you Hamilton Building Services!” -The Greczyn’s, NY

Tuesday's Tips: Add Value to Your House

Adding value to your existing home is always a good thing, especially if you're considering relocating and you may want to sell your house. Here are a few ways that you can add to your home's value on any budget!    Have your home inspected. If you're interested in selling your house in the near future you will definitely need to look into having a professional inspector visit your house to tell you if there are any internal issues in your home's structure. Discovering hidden problems that you may not be aware of is always best when you find it early. Paint your house colors that appear neutral and calming. Depending on how much you need to paint, this should be a relatively low cost. Look for a coupon or a sale on a neutral color paint so that you can make your home's interior more appealing to a wider array of people. Put in low-maintenance landscaping. Shrubs, simple stonework, a flowerbed or a tree can add to a home's value. When it comes to...

First, we have the classic salad with romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, dressed with your personal favorite. Then there are salads for fruit lovers. Mix up your greens with spinach, kale or red leaf lettuce then top with the berries of your choice, candied pecans, finishing it with feta cheese and a sweet vinaigrette. It doesn't have to stop there though. If you are not looking to have your main course accompanied by a side salad, indulge in a cobb salad. Topped with chicken, bacon, avocado, and more, you are guaranteed a full belly with complete satisfaction. No matter what your key ingredient preference is; veggies, fruit, or meat, take the time this May to explore your options. If there is not a salad that appeals to you at your local market or restaurant get creative and build your own masterpiece! Hamilton's own, Cortney Lowie, salad inspir...

A "Greener" Home Within Your Grasp!

The term "Green Living" is not a new one, but one that we continuously try to better our knowledge in! We're learning new things about how making simple, but conscious changes in our daily routines can lead to a healthier and greener style of living! Simple Switches: We put our dusting to the test and swapped out the chemically packed cleaning products we currently had with natural, plant-based products. Our current obsession is an all natural lavender scented surface cleaner. We noticed a change in breathing easier while cleaning, and even after! Breathing Easy: The quality of your indoor air impacts you more than you realize! Your mood, energy level and even chronic cough can be related to the quality of air you breathe. When dusting, be sure to use a vacuum or microfiber...

Tuesday Tip: Sticking To Your Resolutions

It is no secret that January 1st is the day to begin a resolution. A new year, a new you, a new set of goals. But come the third or fourth week of January, we find that we've slipped off the "New Year's Resolutions" train. A mere 8%   of people actually stick out and achieve their resolutions - and 2016 is the year we're aiming to do that! We rounded up our favorite tips for sticking out our resolutions for the duration of 2016; check it out! 1. Pose it as a question to yourself Studies prove that you are more likely to stick to your resolutions if you're asking yourself a question and giving a definitive "yes". For example, "Will I work out more?" "Yes" 2. Make only a few resolutions Consider picking only a few options as opposed to many. It is far easier to maintain three goals as opposed to ten! 3. Track your progress By monitoring your own progress, you increase the likelihood of maintaining your resolutio...
