Simple Survey: Gas stove or electric?

If you're in the midst of remodeling your kitchen, or even if you're just updating some kitchen appliances, consider what type of stove is for you - gas or electric. There are many theories on which type of stove top is better, which is easier to clean, which is better for cooking, and so on. In reality, gas and electric stoves are great either way as they both have their individual attributes. Take this simple A, B, C survey to find out what type of stove will fulfill your needs and desires. As you progress through the survey, mark down the letters you choose, and at the end, tally your results to find out what stove top you need!

Is cooking a pleasant past time for you?
A. No way!
B. Absolutely!

Is dinner time a quick event or drawn out and enjoyed?
A. The faster I can make dinner, the better
B. I could cook all day long

What are your feelings on kitchen clean up time?
A. It's definitely not my favorite time

B. I don't mind it so much

Type A
If you answered more A's than B's, there's a good chance a  gas stove is better suited for you. Gas stoves are usually favored more by those who enjoy cooking and do it often. Also, a gas stove allows you to directly control the amount of heat your dish is getting as you can physically see the open flame. One downside of a gas stove is the clean up, though. Each part must be taken apart, scrubbed and put back in place which can become time consuming.

Type B
If you found yourself answering B more than A, odds are you may prefer an electric stove. Because they are a flat top surface, they are easier to clean up. It's as simple as a swipe! Electric stoves also tend to get really hot really fast. This can be a good thing if you find yourself in a rush often, but if you really like to cook and want more control over your cooking, electric may not be the best route for your kitchen.

Having a pool to cool off and relax in is a luxury that is especially nice during these hot summer months. But, like most luxuries in life, time, energy, and money must be put into owning a pool. One of the costs associated with having a pool is the money it takes to heat a pool. If you are interested in swimming in your pool after the sun goes down or during cooler months, heating your pool is a viable option to consider. Check out some information about how solar hot water collectors can heat your pool. How does it work? Pool water gets pumped through a filter into a solar hot water collector. Solar hot water collectors are thin and generally mounted on a roof. Thin pipes of water then run through the collector. When the sun's rays hit the collector, they heat the running water inside.
