Trendy Tuesday: Inspirations You'll Love

Home decor styles are ever changing. Each year brings forth new and different ideas for a stylish interior. Now that we are a few months in to the new year, we're taking a closer look at some of the most popular trends (so far!) for 2016. Take a look!

1. Calming Copper

Copper soaker tubs have become steadily more popular through the years and 2016 seems to be the year that this design is really taking off! A copper bath, especially a large, free-standing one, adds beauty to a bathroom. The best part? This design choice is versatile; if you feel like changing up the look of your bathroom again, copper bathtubs compliment a myriad of color palettes and suit many interior design styles.

2. Backyard Bliss

Where is your favorite spot to de-stress and unwind after a long day? Maybe it's your library, study or kitchen; it might even become the backyard. An outdoor space that is functional yet beautiful has steadily gained in popularity and 2016 is the year to shine! Home Experts at the 2016 International Building Show stated that a styled and tasteful outdoor space was almost as important as the interior, even in colder climates! Being outdoors is so valuable, and we are excited to see this development in home design!

3. Beautiful Barn Doors

A barn door might not seem like a very stylish item to have in your custom home, but it might be just what you are looking for. These unique doors create a specific mood in your kitchen, bedroom, hallway and more by integrating modern, rustic, or eclectic designs and utilizing smart paint colors and wood choices. Even a contemporary home, like the one below, benefits from a stylish atmosphere with beautiful barn door!

#SolarSunday

Having a pool to cool off and relax in is a luxury that is especially nice during these hot summer months. But, like most luxuries in life, time, energy, and money must be put into owning a pool. One of the costs associated with having a pool is the money it takes to heat a pool. If you are interested in swimming in your pool after the sun goes down or during cooler months, heating your pool is a viable option to consider. Check out some information about how solar hot water collectors can heat your pool. How does it work? Pool water gets pumped through a filter into a solar hot water collector. Solar hot water collectors are thin and generally mounted on a roof. Thin pipes of water then run through the collector. When the sun's rays hit the collector, they heat the running water inside.
