Easy 4th of July Recipe Hacks

4th of July celebrations can be a great time to spend time with family and loved ones. Get ahead of the game this year and prep some of your goodies in advance so you aren't scrambling around and can have more time to relax when the big day arrives!

Festive Fruit Flag
Ingredients
Blueberries
Cherries
Strawberries
Raspberries
White chocolate covered pretzels

Arrange the ingredients on a tray as they are in the photo. Chill until guests arrive.

Firecracker Hot Dogs
Ingredients
Hot dogs
Biscuit dough
Colby jack cheese

Thread hot dogs with skewer and wrap with biscuit dough. Bake hot dogs at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out pieces of the cheese, and stick the stars on top of the stick.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Dip 
Ingredients
10 oz cooked, shredded chicken breast
1/2 c garlic Parmesan wing sauce
1/4 c green onions
3 tomatoes
1/4 c yellow onions 
4 tbsp black olives, chopped
1 tsp mustard rub seasoning
2 tsp butter
16 oz cream cheese
3 c monterey jack cheese
Crackers for dipping

Melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and mustard rub seasoning. Sauté until softened. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine cream cheese and ¼ cup Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, mix until well combined, light and fluffy. Stir in chicken and green onions. Spread cream cheese mixture on a 13x9-inch rectangle platter or shallow baking dish. Spread remaining Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce over cream cheese. Top with cheese. Stir black olives into onions. Place in the upper left corner, creating a rectangle. Place tomatoes in strips to create stripes.

Monday's Maintenance: Sealing Your Driveway

An asphalt driveway can be a real luxury if you're used to driving on rocks or dirt; however, asphalt does require a little extra work. There is no secret time you should seal your driveway, but the typical suggested time to wait is three years. Depending on how you use your driveway and where you live, you will want to adjust your timing accordingly. Follow these tips to seal your driveway successfully! You'll need to really scrub, but with a little elbow grease, soap, and hot water, you can get rid of those nasty grease or oil stains.  Fill in potholes.
