Sleepy Sunday: Transform Your Bedroom Into a Sleep Haven

It seems like these days everyone either has or knows someone who has difficulty falling asleep. For some, this is a genuine medical issue that only a doctor and a prescription can fix. As for the rest of us restless sleepers, there are plenty of things to do to help create a sound environment perfect for a good night's sleep. Take a gander at some alterations you can make to your bedroom to make it an inviting sleep fortress.

#1 Cool Down - Your body will sleep best when the temperature around you is a tad cooler than you may find comfortable. This may seem odd, but when you're snuggled under the blankets you may find it easier to breathe and clear your mind. The National Sleep Foundation suggests keeping your bedroom around 65 degrees.

#2 Cut Out the Light - It seems obvious to turn off the lights, but what you really need to do is turn off ALL of the lights. This means cell phones, tablets, and alarm clock lights all need to be off. Studies have shown that the lights keep our brains wound up even without realizing it. Face your alarm down, or buy one that has a setting to turn off the red or blue light. Additionally, you can get darkening shades that will make your sleep experience ten times better.

#3 Room Design - The way that you arrange your bedroom can have an affect on your sleep pattern. De-clutter your room first, and try your best to remove all electronics from your room. The color on your walls also can impact you, so avoid harsh colors like red, which are stimulating to the brain.

What Is Panelization?

Panelization is the process of building wall and floor panels and roof trusses off site, in a environmentally controlled factory, where skilled craftsman, with more than enough experience, are accurately assembling panel quickly and efficiently.       The time period to frame a panelized home, is significantly shorter than that of traditional, stick-framed houses. This means that your brand new home is weather tight sooner, lengthening the life of your home, and ultimately shortening the entire building process.      With panel construction is happening on in a factory, rather than on site, this means less material waste on site. This is another cost savings benefit that also results in a cleaner job site.      Even though the panels and trusses are built in a factory, doesn't mean that you're sacrificing the customization of your new home. We design all of our panels and trusses in house, to match the floo...
