When you've decided it's the right time to build, you'll want to be selective when deciding who will build the house of your dreams. All builders are different, and each builder fits a particular type of build. So, depending on your stipulations, you may want to shop around before you make a concrete decision. Follow these steps to figure out what builder is right for your vision.


                                       


  1. Verify the builder is licensed and insured
  2. Check the builder's warranties and how they work
  3. Tour model homes to see craftsmanship
  4. Tour job sites to ensure they are tidy and cleaned up
  5. Industry involvement, such as NAHB (National Association of Home Builders)
  6. Ask to see some testimonials 
  7. Ensure the builder is well experienced
  8. View their website and see how professional they present themselves 
  9. Decide what you need, and observe the style and capabilities of the builder
  10. Meet in person to check out how professional and timely they are getting back to you
