It's a tale as old as time. You've been there. You just moved into your new home and you're ready to make it your own! A harsher color might be good if you were using the room for entertainment purposes, you know, to keep people awake!

Lastly, we have personality. This all truly depends on the person, but accessorizing is key. HGTV suggests to make it whimsy or even utilize the unexpected! Take a look into your own life to see what it is that makes you, YOU! Maybe add your favorite piece of decor and work around the rest of the room based on that object. (Colors, set-up, etc.) You could even work with this in reverse! Start with the colors and furnitures, and then decorate with favorite pieces that are in the color scheme! Possibilities are endless!
