Too often, people confuse panelized construction with other prefab builds, such as modular. Panelized construction is guaranteed airtight, quality product, as each piece is built in a factory that has a controlled environment.
Speed is the main advantage involved in the panelized process, but quality still remains the main focus, unlike modular builds that are exactly as you see them - a prefab box. There is less opportunity to customize a home because, with a Modular home, you get what you see.
Higher grade materials are standard for panelized construction because there is so little waste.
Modular homes are set with a crane similar to panelized, but they are constructed in whole, complete boxes, unlike panelized that is set wall by wall.
