Helpful Cleaning Hacks

There are a few areas in every home that are a drag to clean. Sometimes, a big problem can be knowing how to clean something or what to clean it with. Check out these helpful hacks when it comes to cleaning those tricky spots in your home.

#1 Granite countertops 

  • Avoid harsh or abrasive chemicals (including lemon, vinegar, Windex, bleach, ammonia, etc.) 
  • Use warm water and mild soap
  • Microfiber cloths work best

#2 Garbage disposal
  • Leave the water run and grind a lemon for a lemony-fresh scent
  • Dump 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of vinegar down the drain, and refrain from running the water for 10 minutes
  •  Freeze citrus peels like lemons, oranges, and grapefruits in ice cube trays with water or vinegar and then grind them in your garbage disposal

#3 Shower head

  • Wrap a plastic bag around your shower head and tie it off with a rubber band
  • Fill the bag with vinegar and let it sit for 15 minutes
