Friday Floor Plans

You've decided you want to design and build your own custom home and like most prospective home owners, you have a vision of what your "dream home" would be like. With so many elements to consider when designing your own home, let the Hamilton team help you from start to finish and beyond.

So, how can you be sure your dream will become your reality? First, you can look at homes in the area in which you will be building your custom home. Do you see a common style throughout the homes that you'd like to mirror or do you prefer something entirely different? Then, look for open house signs and advertisements. Visiting homes is one of the best ways to determine what features you like and dislike.

Secondly, take photos of what appeals to you. After viewing dozens of houses, magazine after magazine, or searching online plans, there is no better way to recall what you may have liked than a photograph. It may have been the exterior color, the entry door, the interior trim, the master suite walk-in closet, and even the staircase. All of these details are best captured in a photo. Collectively, these pictures will help you find your dream for which you will love in the end.

Lastly, contact Hamilton Building Services to setup your initial meeting. Bring all of your ideas, sketches, and photographs, so that you and your local Hamilton Dealer can sit together and discuss your vision. Your local Hamilton Dealer will listen to your wants and needs. Whether you are looking for a modern or traditional design, contemporary or rustic feel, there is a panelization style to fit your needs and budget, and endless options for customization. With computer-assisted design programs, we can turn just about any idea into an actual design that is structurally sound.

Take a look at a few of our popular plans below. At 1678 square feet, the Westhaven Court features an open concept layout with the great room dividing the master suite from the other two bedrooms. The Sedona is the perfect plan for a growing family with a formal dining room, breakfast nook off the kitchen, and three bedrooms including a first floor master suite. With the great outdoors as your landscape, the Cedarwood gives you all the views you'd need to relax and enjoy!

Light Up Your Kitchen

You can have the most beautiful kitchen in the world, but if it's poorly lit, you'd never know - what a shame! Avoid this common problem by installing appropriate lighting in your kitchen and dining area. There are two questions to ask yourself when you're adding lighting in to your kitchen: what kind of lighting will I choose, and where will I decide the lighting should be? #SolarSunday

Having a pool to cool off and relax in is a luxury that is especially nice during these hot summer months. But, like most luxuries in life, time, energy, and money must be put into owning a pool. One of the costs associated with having a pool is the money it takes to heat a pool. If you are interested in swimming in your pool after the sun goes down or during cooler months, heating your pool is a viable option to consider. Check out some information about how solar hot water collectors can heat your pool. How does it work? Pool water gets pumped through a filter into a solar hot water collector. Solar hot water collectors are thin and generally mounted on a roof. Thin pipes of water then run through the collector. When the sun's rays hit the collector, they heat the running water inside.
